低炭素型の都市・地域づくりに向けて、環境モデル都市の優れた取 組の全国展開を図るとともに、低炭素社会づくりに積極的に取組む海外の都市と連 携し、我が国の優れた取組を世界に発信することを目的として、低炭素都市推進協議会が設立されました。

　Promotion Council for the Low Carbon Cities was organized, with the purpose of developing of the superior approaches of EMCs among whole Japan and of disseminating information abroad, in cooperate with the foreign cities which are also taking action for the Low Carbon Society.
