地球に優しい低炭素社会を実現してまちを元気にする・・・それが「環境モデル都市構想」です。優れた低炭素都市づくりを進める13の環境モデル都市をはじめ、全国の多くの自治体、国、関係団体等が協力して、この構想を進めています。
この国際会議では、合計1,169名の参加者を得て、国内外の環境都市や有識者等が一堂に集まり、優れた事例を国内外に広めるとともに、海外からの参加者の有益なアドバイスを得ながら、未来のまちづくりを議論しました。
"Eco-Model City (EMC) Initiative" reflects policy for realizing low-carbon society and revitalizing community. It is strongly promoted by co-works of many local-governments nationwide including 13 EMCs, central government and concerned organizations.
At the conference, having 1,169 people as audience, we brought together in one place, worldwide environmentally-friendly cities, the government, and so on, and discussed on sustainable city in future with introductions of best practices and reviews presented by foreign guests.
